Technology is constantly improving. It is almost always evolving. Lately, our media players have been advancing exponentially. Long ago eight tracks have been replaced with MP3 players. We no longer rent videos, we rent DVDs – or, as is more often the case lately, Blu-Ray discs. To do that, we need Blu-Ray DVD players. Understandably, however, a lot of people are wary about buying them. They wonder why they are better than standard DVD players.
By all accounts, you cannot beat Blu-Ray when it comes to resolution. Because the discs are digital, there is a clarity and sharpness that cannot be beat. When you pair a Blu-Ray player with a high definition TV, you have a winning combination. The picture will be amazingly realistic. Just compare a 480p resolution in DVDs to the 1080p resolution found in Blu-Ray discs.
The quality and clarity of movies seen on Blu-Ray is also far superior. You can actually see a number of colors that the human eye itself cannot detect. As you can imagine, this makes for a picture so clear, you will feel like you are right in the movie.
The third reason to choose a Blu-Ray player is the sound quality. You get the best of Dolby TrueHD. It will sound not only like you are in a theatre when you are watching a movie, but rather like you are in the movie itself.
Again, there is such a dramatic improvement in both the clarity and intensity of both the video single and the Salem track that when you see and hear the difference for the first time the impact is just short of unbelievable.
There is also the added bonus of being able to sync up Blu-Ray players with the Internet. The players have Ethernet ports. Just hook it up, and you can be downloading ring tones, games, and all kinds of special features.
Last but not least, a lot of people resist switching to Blu-Ray because they do not want to give up all of their DVDs. However, you do not have to do that. Not only will DVDs play on Blu-Ray players, but some of them actually up the resolution. So, even though your DVD only plays at 480p, when you play it on Blu-Ray, the resolution can jump up to 1080p!
There are many options available already when it comes to buying a new bl-ray DVD player. The resources that are available to you online are extensive, quick, and inexpensive.
