Anti aging skin products come in different forms to choose from and have various functions specifically for different skins. The different types of anti aging skin products are all-natural or organic products, collagens, retinols and antioxidants. These could be in the form of cleansers, toners or moisturizers. It is best if you determine your skin type first in order to get the anti aging skin product that is best for you.

Skin types:

- Oily Skin – an oily skin is caused by the overproduction of sebum. Too much sebum on the skin can trap dirt in our pores. Dirt and oil eventually develops into pimples if it remains cleansed ad untreated by cleansers and toners.

- Dry Skin – a dry skin is caused by deficiency of sebum on the skin. Sebum prevents the skin from drying up and flaking. To treat dry skin, use hydrating skin products to keep it lubricated and hydrated.

- Combination Skin – this type of skin produces more sebum in some areas and less in others. For example, your nose, chin and forehead may be oily while the rest of your face is dry. Hydrating skin products may be used on the dry areas and toner on the oily areas.

Normal skin – produces just enough sebum to keep skin hydrated and healthy. Regular cleansing, toning and moisturizing maintains youthful skin.

- Sensitive Skin – this is a skin condition that makes the skin susceptible to even the slightest external irritants such as alcohol, fragrance from cosmetic products. Climate can also have an effect on the skin. To take care of your sensitive skin, regular gentle cleansing and hypoallergenic water-based creams are recommended.

Cleanser:

Cleansers should be ideally pH-balanced. This means that they should not be too harsh on the skin, but at the same time, have enough strength to prevent dirt and bacteria from developing into acnes. Acne causes scars which become more difficult to get rid of as the skin ages. These can also have moisturizers so you need not get a separate anti aging skin moisturizing product. Moisturizers in cleansers can prevent the skin from drying after cleansing.

Toner:

The function of skin toners is to remove remaining particles left on your skin like excess oil, make-up and dirt. They also refresh your skin by tightening its pores. A toner that acts as an anti aging skin product often contain essential oils that naturally improve the texture and clarity of aging skin. Another great thing about these oils is that they are able to soothe the skin at the same time. You can use witch hazel for oily skin and rose water for dry, normal or sensitive skin.

Moisturizer:

An anti aging skin product that gives aging skin proper hydration can add significant results. Moisturizers technically cannot give moisture to the skin, although good anti aging moisturizers can effectively lock in water and essential oils in your skin.

Combined Anti Aging Solutions:

There are anti aging solutions that have the combined properties of a good cleanser, moisturizer, and toner. These combined anti aging solution products can heal, moisturize, repair and tone the skin all at the same time.
