When it comes to acne, we all just look at it as a simple annoyance, something that makes us feel incredibly self conscious. And, when it comes to treating out acne, we would prefer to find something effective, and something that will not put a damper on our wallets. Here are a few home remedies acne treatments that you might find rather helpful!

The effectiveness of home remedies has always been a victim of conflicting opinions but when one considers the financial gains of certain treatment manufacturers, it’s hardly surprising. The fact is, many home remedies do work and some, such as vitamins, have been scientifically proven to work.

Vitamins can make your body stronger against acne. Niacin, Vitamin A and E are powerful acne-fighting vitamins particularly. You still need to take care how you use vitamins and consult a physician before starting any treatment regimen, of course, even though they are ‘natural’.

Unfortunately one of the most effective home remedies, garlic, is often avoided for obvious reasons because not only will it get rid of your pimples, but it may get rid of your friends as well. Jokes aside, rubbing raw garlic directly onto a pimple or pimples a few times each day will certainly clear up your skin and it will clear it up faster than you imagine.

As mentioned at the beginning of this article, vitamins are a proven cure so it stands to reason that you should include plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables in your diet. A healthy diet is considered my many health professionals, to be the most effective tool for combating acne, including prevention.

Not only will eating fruit help you to keep that acne from coming back, but lemons can also help you to get rid of that nasty acne! Basically all you need to do is squeeze a single lemon, and apply that to your pimples! Orange peels can also help you reduce your chance of future breakouts.

Zinc in cream and/or tablet form has been used for decades and is still a favourite home remedy to this day. Of course zinc based lotions or creams are applied directly in accordance with the given instructions although many people choose to take the zinc tablets instead. These are most often taken at the regular dose for a period of one month before gradually reducing the dosage. Results should be visible shortly after the end of the first month.

Of course, as there are many different home treatments you’ll need to find which ones work best for you simply through trial and error. The remedies I have mentioned in this article are only the tip of the iceberg and with a little research, you’ll find a wealth of others which you may wish to try.

While a few of these remedies seem a bit outlandish, you might be surprised at how effective they actually are. So, grab some garlic or a lemon or two, and get started on those nasty pimples, the right acne remedy is out there, and it is probably in your refrigerator!
