Having to deal with a yeast infection is not only annoying, but it can also be quite embarrassing. Going to the drug store/chemist to pick up another yeast infection cream is not an enjoyable experience for any woman. Nor do they want to go to the doctor and explain what kind of problems they are having. Home remedies are becoming more popular because they treat the infection from the cause, and this prevents future infections from happening.
Even though yeast infections can be fairly common, it is still embarrassing to walk up with a tube of anti fungal cream and put it on the counter to be bought. Even though the staff at the drug store/chemist won’t even bat an eyelid at the medication, the feeling that they know you have a vaginal infection is not a feeling that a lot of women are comfortable with.
As well as being embarrassed by the purchase, OTC yeast creams only treat the symptoms of the infection. Vaginal discharge, burning and itching are only stopped by the medication while the cause of the infection goes untreated. And the problem is, the infection can still come back, and when it does it will become resistant to the cream.
It can get very embarrassing continually going to see your doctor every time you have an itch down below. Nobody likes such an intimate examination to begin with even if it’s only the once. An examination from your doctor can be a very nerve racking experience.
Even prescription strength medications only treat yeast infection symptoms. Even though they are more powerful than OTC creams, the infection will still lay dormant until the next time. To successfully rid your body of the mutated Candida yeast you must treat the infection from the cause.
Because more treatments are now available, home remedies are becoming more popular. Not only do you save the embarrassment of buying medication from a store or going to see a doctor, you can also treat the actual infection itself.
Before prescription drugs were available women were treating their yeast infections for hundreds of years successfully without any problems.
Your first diagnosis of your infection is important, so you must see your doctor for this. After you have that initial correct diagnosis you can then treat your infection how you wish.
