I hope after reading this article you will understand that quick diet loss will not happen on a “fad, or quick fix diet”. There are so many of these diets on the market, or ways of losing weight quickly made popular by stick thin celebrities. What I am going to explain below is why these diets will not work and how to lose weight that “will stay off”.
What I am going to describe next is what you need to do to lose weight, why and how it happens.
Keep on reading because at the end of this article you will realise the truth about all those quick fix diets.
The cornerstone of any successful weight loss is to burn off calories. Yep your probably thinking well we know that but without burning these you will not lose weight. You will burn off calories even if you didn’t move a muscle all day.
I am sure by now you are thinking that when I consume calories how come my body isn’t just cancelling these out. Well your body is burning calories but it depends on how many you have consumed compared to how many you are burning off. You could have 3,000 calories a day but your body only burns off 2,000 – this will leave you with a defecit of 1,000 excess calories. This is the calorie maintenance level.
Sustainable weight loss will only be achieved by using the calorie maintenance level.
If you know what your calorie maintenance level is you will be able to manage your own weight loss system. Once you know this you will be able to easily control your weight. I am going to let you into a little, but I have to admit rather obvious secret.
Ok this is the so simple way to lose weight. If you have the same amount of calories as your bodies maintenance level your weight will not change. More calories will result in weight gain, and reduction in calories will result in weight loss.
Thats it folks, the one simple fact that weight loss is based on. You can forget cabbage soup, baby food diets and other quick diet loss plans. All you need to do is make sure you have a deficit of calories. Burn off more calories than you consume.
Ok to start losing weight sensibly and slowly you need to reduce your calorific intake by 500 calories a day. Yep I know your thinking thats not enough, I won’t lose weight quickly enough etc. Well what you are trying to do is to lose weight that will stay off and lose weight without feeling absolutely dreadful. If you do reduce your intake too much I can guarantee you will feel ill and after about a week give up. This is not another quick fix diet.
The next thing you have to do is exercise. This combined with cutting your calories down will shift those extra pounds. Exercise is a key component of this working as the body is rather clever, when you reduce your calories it thinks its being starved and starts to hang onto its fat stores. Exercise will give it the push it needs to burn them off, oh and not only will you be slimmer but toned as well.
Well there you go. No fancy packages, no cabbage soup for the rest of your life and defintely no diet pills (my absolute pet hate)! just a simple and logical way to lose weight. You must give this a go. No-one is promising you will lose a stone in a week but you will lose weight without using a wacky quick diet loss plan.
