There has been an increasing trend in people choosing their zodiac symbol for a tattoo lately. This is an obvious choice because it is a great way to personalize your design and share something about yourself. Astrology has been an integral component of culture for ages.

It is the Western Zodiac that we are most familiar with. The signs of the Western Zodiac are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. The signs have their roots in Greek mythology, with many of them being named after various gods of that time.

Each of the zodiac signs vary greatly in personality traits. When you wear your sign as a tattoo it give others a chance to learn something about you instantly. Each sign holds a different place on the yearly calendar, so yours is determined by when you were born.

Many people are instantly drawn to the simplistic, but stylish Zodiac glyphs. The then take these to a local tattoo artist for further expansion. When the work is done you are left with a unique design that proudly showcases your affinity for astrology as well as being beautiful on its own.

Some of the best tattoo designs can be found in the various membership sites and forums that can be found on the Internet. While they are not free, the quality of the artwork that can be found there is worth the cost of signing up. Additionally you are given the opportunity to browse for a design and then print it up to take in to your local tattoo shop.

People tend to go for either the symbol or glyph when constructing their zodiac tattoo. The signs constellation is another viable choice. All of these can easily be expanded on to create a final image that is much greater than the sum of its parts.

Be sure not to rush your decision process. There is lots of time and you do not want to act rashly and then regret your choice later. Review lots of examples and then settle on one for you. This way you can be certain that you will still be pleased with the final creation decades from now.
